Lumenata Lighting Design

We put in place a trade finance facility which enabled a specialist lighting company to fulfil sizeable new contracts.

Our client:

Lumenata Lighting Design, is a £600,000 turnover business that designs, supplies and installs fully customised lighting schemes for commercial and residential properties in the UK and Europe.

Established in 2006, the business boasts a diverse client base including office developers, public sector organisations, owners of private residential properties and operators of hotel, retail and leisure facilities.

High profile projects the business has been involved with include London’s iconic Shard building, Coventry City Football Club and a fit out for health and beauty retailer Bodycare’s 120 stores nationwide.

How we helped:

Lumenata Lighting Design’s Managing Director Paul Hindle, needed to import stock quickly so that he could secure and fulfil a number of large new contracts. The business didn’t have the working capital available to fund them so it required a solution which would provide rapid access to short term finance.

After the initial conversation with Paul it was clear that the best option would be trade finance.

Compared to traditional lenders, we have shorter decision making chains which means that we can make quick decisions in order to put growth enabling finance in place.

On the strength of the business and the quality of the specific growth opportunity, we quickly put in place a facility that allowed Lumenata Lighting Design to fund the purchase of stock needed to move forward with several new large contracts.

What was involved in our funding decision making process?
