About You
You will supply to
us and we will collect from other sources personal data about
individuals. The individuals will be the Client with whom we deal
if you are a sole trader or if you are a company or unincorporated
business they will be your major shareholders, directors,
principals, partners, members, other officers or any guarantors
and indemnifiers. We may also seek information about other parties
involved in your business.
We are, however, fully committed to protecting the privacy of any
individual and this privacy policy explains how we will obtain
from the individual and others personal data about that
individual, how we use that information, the procedures that we
have in place to safeguard it and how to contact us about it.
It is important that each individual is made aware of this privacy
policy.
For the purpose of this policy "you/your" shall mean every
individual mentioned above.
2. Information From You
You can visit our
website without having to give us any information about you.
However, if you wish to apply for a selective invoice finance
facility you will need to complete an application form which will
be sent by email to you on request requiring amongst other things
your name, home, business and email addresses, fax and telephone
numbers, date of birth and certain details of your background and
financial history.
Any guarantor and indemnifier will also be asked to supply an
assets and liability statement.
You will also need to supply evidence of identity to comply with
anti-money laundering requirements.
3. Information From Others
We will obtain
further or corroborative information about you by searching your
record at one or more credit reference agencies from time to time.
We will also obtain references about you from referees nominated
by you and others we choose.
We will check your details with one or more fraud prevention
agencies and, if you give us false or inaccurate information and
we suspect fraud, we will record this. It is important that you
give us accurate information.
4. Use of
Information
Information about
you will be used primarily by us to decide whether and upon what
terms to enter into any agreement with you. It will also be used
by us for training purposes, credit or financial assessment,
market and product analysis, market research and preparing
statistics.
The credit reference
agencies will add to your record details of our searches and this
will be seen by other businesses carrying out later searches. We
and those other businesses may use those records to:

decisions about credit and credit related services, for you and
members of your household;

help make
decisions on motor, household, credit, life and other insurance
proposals and claims for you and members of your household;

trace debtors,
recover debt, prevent money laundering and fraud;

manage accounts.
We will add to your
record with the credit reference agencies details of your
agreement with us and your performance under it.
We, the credit
reference agencies and the fraud prevention agencies will also use
the records for statistical analysis about credit, insurance and
fraud.
We may also give
information about you to third parties such as your bankers, any
insurers, guarantors, professional advisors, any business
providing a similar service to ours to whom you may wish to
transfer, and any business to which we may wish to transfer the
debts or our rights or duties.
Unless you object we may also contact you (by letter, telephone or
e-mail)about services and products which we consider may be of
interest to you and to carry out market research about our
services and products or those of others.
5. Safeguarding
Your Information
Any information we
obtain about you will be processed fairly and lawfully in
accordance with the principles of, and our obligations under,
current data protection legislation in the UK.
We also keep
information confidential. Our internal procedures cover the
storage, access and disclosure of your information and our staff
is fully trained and aware of its responsibilities.
6. Your Consent
By submitting your
information in an application you consent to the use of that
information as set out in this policy.
If we change our
privacy policy we will post the changes on this page and may place
notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of
the information we collect and how we use it at all times. We will
also e-mail you should we make any changes so that you may consent
to our use of your information in that way. Continued use of the
facility will signify that you agree to any such changes.

amend or delete information we hold, to have details of the credit
reference and fraud prevention agencies from whom we obtain and
with whom we record information about you or to stop our using it
for one or more of the purposes set out.

You have a right at
